Liste Museum of Vigo

The Liste Museum of Vigo was born through the Liste-Etnographic Museum of Vigo Foundation, which collects the legacy of Olimpio Liste Regueiro in the field of ethnography. The main goal is to offer a globalized vision of Galicia's etnographic patrimony.

The museum offers nine halls for permanent exhibition, distributed in three floors - covering the following aspects: 

Rye culture, which shows by means of a chronological tour the importance of the cereal in Galicia's agriculture. 

Provincial Museum of the Sea

The Museum of the Sea was firstly created in 1969, as a result of the great passion of professor Mr. Francisco M. Rivera Casás for collecting objects sea-related. Since the very beginning, it is meant to showcase the sailors' life in the coast of Lugo and the biological and etnographic richness. The building housing the museum was built in 1931 to host the single classroom school of San Cibrao.

Wine and Etnographic Museum of Cambados

The Etnographic and Wine Collection is located in one of the most memorable places of Cambados, nearby the remains of the medieval church of Santa Mariña Dozo (15th century).

The centre is devoted to the themes related to vineyard harvest and wine production. The showing goes through the history, art, popular culture, along with all winegrowing related aspects, including the different varieties and the elaboration process of wines under the Rías Baixas Appellation.

Palloza Casa do Sesto

The palloza 'Casa do Sesto' dates back at least from 1770. It was the main house of the current owner until 1970. Since 1989 is opened for the general public - in 2007 was awarded with the autonomous administration recognition as etnographic collection available for visits. The main goal of the palloza is to broadcast the traditional way of life and culture of this high-lying mountain area, maintaining the primitive structure of these contractions and saving in the interior the tools and instruments related to the original uses.

Casa do Patrón Collection

The Casa do Patrón Museum is an etnographic museum with more than 4,000 pieces collected from all over Galicia. The collection is distributed in three buildings with over 2,000 m2.

The museum houses thirteen theme organized exhibition halls, where the visitor can behold the old Galician schools, the way of life of our ancestors, forgotten trades or a tavern, along with traditional oven and forge. Also in the museum, the visitor will find the implements characterizing all farming and ranching trades and activities from last centuries, living memory of our history.

Etnographic Park of Río Arnoia

The Etnographic Park of Río Arnoia was the result of an idea to recover and integrate in the life of Allariz the elements from the etnographic patrimony still presents in the area. These include the economic-cultural activities created around the Arnoia River, especially the leather industry and the grain processing.

That is why the park is composed by three elements: : Muíño do Burato (Burato Mill), Textile Museum “O Fiadeiro” Leather Museum “Fábrica de Curtidos Familia Nogueiras”.

Arxeriz Pazo

The Arxeriz Pazo is located in Ribeira Sacra, in Saviñao, parish of Fión, in a 30 hectares estate with a wonderful situation in the bank of the Miño River. The museum is composed of the equipped halls inside the 17th century pazo and series of popular architecture buildings located inside the estate.

Inside the pazo cthe traditional kitchen with the hearth, furniture and utensils are displayed. On the other hand, the events hall is being set up as a reference for castro culture to expose the archaeological remains found in the successive campaigns.

Museum of Galician People

The former Convent of Santo Domingo de Bonaval (17th - 18th centuries), houses the Museum of Galician People opened in 1977. This socially based museum has restored all the convent area and increased its funds. This remodelling triggered the expansion of exhibition spaces and the chances of showing Galician culture features.
