The museum
The Interpretation Center of Traditional Music is located in the village of A Seara, in the municipality of Quiroga, in a natural setting of great scenic beauty, right in the heart of the Montañas do Courel UNESCO Global Geopark. A Seara is one of the most representative villages in the Courel Mountains. Of medieval origin, it boasts an architectural heritage that reflects the key features of mountain architecture, forming a magnificent ensemble of ethnographic interest.
The Interpretation Center is a space dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of traditional Galician music, its instruments, and the knowledge associated with them. It views music as part of identity and collective memory, and offers an experience where visitors can listen to, play, and feel the sounds that have accompanied the lives of Galician communities throughout history.
