The CGAC bookshop, specialised in contemporary, art, architecture, design and photography, was born with the aim of bringing publications that are not common in other bookshops closer to the visitors of the centre.
The auditorium can hold up to 250 people. The space hosts conferences, seminars, video and cinema cycles, as well as other activities related to the everyday operation of the centre.
The access to the library is free and open to all; and treasures a collection specialising in contemporary art and culture. This service is aimed at researchers, students and the public in general, but it also serves as a support for the exhibitions and activities organised at CGAC.
OThe funds of the library comprise over 25,000 titles including exhibition catalogues, artist´s monographs, history and art theory volumes, national and international art journals, audiovisual materials - along with brochures and updated information about activities held at other museums, and calls for awards and competitions.
The CGAC has an archive of images of the works in the collections stored on its premises. The request form available on the centre's website must be filled in order to request photographs from this archive for reproduction or publication in any device.
