The museum is located in a small new building, designed by Gallego Jorreto, integrated in the surrounding of the medieval Collegiate Church of Saint Mary. The monographic museum houses a diverse collection of diverse objects aimed at the liturgical cult of the Collegiate Church. It is indeed a selection of silversmithing from different schools, periods and countries from the 16th to the 20th century

The exhibition is organised by time and by schools. The first floor shows the 16th, 17th and mid-18th century pieces, including the Eucharistic chest and the monstrance donated by Queen Maria Anna of Neuburg, wife to Charles the II.

The second floor houses pieces from A Coruña and silversmith from Cordoba - all from late 18th and early 19th centuries. The third floor exhibits rod pieces, for processional purposes and metal items from the 19th century. Finally, the fourth floor hosts the collection from the schools of Salamanca and Santiago, including the pieces by Jacobo Pecul - from late 18th century to early 19th century
