Desk for two children

Wooden desk consisting of a platform made with small planks at the back of which are a pair of mobile seats with the backs mounted on a wooden axle so that they could be folded down. At the front, it has two vertical boards at each side, which are joined with a fixed desktop, in a sloping position to make it easier to write on. The desktop had two grooves in which to put the pens and two holes for the ceramic inkwells. Under the desktop there was a flat, open shelf where the children would keep their books. At the bottom near the feet, there is a horizontal footrest. It is painted with red primer.

Used as a desk for primary school children.
