The Anaesthesiology and Reanimation Collection is exhibited in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Santiago de Compostela. The small monographic collection shows the old Galician anaesthetic, surgical and reanimation instruments. It is noteworthy, given that the Escola Compostelá de Medicina (Medical School from Santiago de Compostela) was the first medical school in Spain using anaesthetics.

The collection is completed with other tools from other medical specialties, drugs, film material and photographs of leading figures in Galician medicine. This part of the collection was donated by Galician doctors.
