Clinical instruments

These form part of the fixtures and fittings of the old clinic that were recovered, belonging to the cannery itself. The medical instrumentation is relevant since the clinic was located in a room in one of the production facilities. Medical assistance within the factory itself was one of the innovative measures introduced by the factory owners at the beginning of the twentieth century, initially with one physician, and later with the incorporation of auxiliary personnel. Since most of the employees were women, many of them worked right through their pregnancies, practically until the time of giving birth, as they knew that at the clinic they could receive assistance during the delivery.
